Gram & Pop to the Rescue!

Gram & Pop (my Mom & Dad!) came last weekend and spent 6 wonderful days here in San Antonio. We were so busy! Not relaxing....instead working, working, working! My parents were willing to spend their "vacation days" doing all sorts of jobs for us. Since Paul injured himself in early May, I have been getting behind in projects around the house and especially out in the yard. My Dad put water-seal on the new fence, trimmed the yard, weeded, trimmed trees and did lots of odd jobs that involved tools I'm not super comfortable with. It is so nice to have a backyard that doesn't look trashy anymore. (ha!) Mom also did all sorts of jobs for us including weeding in the backyard, laundry, ironing, dishes, food preparation and of course LOTS of childcare. Actually both Mom & Dad did lots of dishes and lots of childcare. I went to get my haircut and got to go on a long run. AND Paul and I got to go on a nice long date without worrying about how much it was costing us (that's me worrying...not Paul!) I am SO BLESSED by all you did for us, Mom & Dad!

Pop & the girls!
Pop reading "Snow White"

Hannah has really been into this book lately. In fact we read it the day before my parents arrived. Later that day I told Hannah I needed to go upstairs and finish cleaning the floor in their bathroom. Hannah says to me, "Can you get down on your hands and knees to clean it? Like Snow White?" Hahaha!

Gram worked a little on potty training....

We did spend ONE day enjoying the Pearl Brewery farmer's market and zoo. I'm glad we were able to have one adventure!

And on our way to take Gram & Pop back to the airport we grabbed some Orange Cup!
One of our family's favorite treats!
