The Hvass Family: 6 Months

Our sweet Natalie is 6 months old today!

She is getting SO BIG! 18 lbs 6 oz to be exact. (85th percentile) She is sitting up very well and does a great job of entertaining herself if she has a pile of toys in front of her. Natalie is also able to push herself backwards while lying on her tummy. I wouldn't call it crawling. But sometimes she will move 5 or 6 feet across the room in just a couple of minutes. I'm amazed! She is eating rice cereal when I think of it and LOVES it! I need to get more consistent with feeding her solids and start introducing her to some fruits and veggies... She is still not sleeping through the night consistently. I guess I need to let her just cry but I haven't gotten up the courage to do it yet. Natalie has become very quick with her hands this month. If you hold her in your lap at the dinner table-BEWARE! She may grab your plate and proceed to toss it onto the floor if you look away for a second! She has the sweetest disposition. She is not a "smiley" baby but is wide-eyed and content most of the time--just taking it all in.
