Parenting Hannah is definitely an adventure and becoming more so with each passing day.....If you are on facebook frequently you have probably already read about all of these....but I thought I would post for all of my family that doesn't do the facebook thing. This past week there were three things that Hannah did on different days that cracked me up or drove me nuts or both! I just want to share them with you here.....
1. One night I was checking on Hannah and planning to cover her with a blanket like I always do before heading to bed. On this particular night I happened to notice a diaper lying next to her bed...a used one (only wet!). Curious about where this diaper might have come from I put my hand on her PJ pants to feel for a diaper and found there was absolutely NOTHING under them. Oh man! I was so relieved to have discovered this before we had wet PJs and wet sheets...but also flabbergasted that she was talented enough to pull this off....her pants were on PERFECTLY!
2. Our next adventure occured shortly after Christmas. One of Hannah's absolutely favorite toys was the Thomas the Train toothbrush and toothpaste that she received in her stocking (thanks for the idea, Meg!). This toothbrush plays the Thomas & Friends theme song. Hannah was THRILLED about the musical toothbrush that played her favorite song of all time and would dance around the living room, kitchen or bedroom with it. So....Paul allowed her to take the toothbrush and toothpaste into her bedroom for nap time one day. After a very long while, I heard Hannah coming out of her room...I went to check on why she was out of bed and realized that she REEKED of toddler toothpaste. Uh-oh! I ran into her room and sure enough...her sheets, wall, blankets and bed frame were completely slimed with the sweet sticky goodness that is toddler toothpaste! Hannah went straight into the bathtub and Paul changed her bedding. The tube of toothpaste was basically empty...we have no idea how much was in her belly.....So needless to say her nap started at least 2 hours late.............
3. This morning Hannah said to me "right foot" while sticking out her right foot. Then she said "left foot" as she stuck out the other foot. When I realized that she identified them correctly I said, "Where did you learn that?!" She answered very matter-of-factly "The Foot Book" (Dr. Seuss).

Those are so funny and cute!
Some times the adventures really are worth it. Inara has taken to kissing her feet bye bye when we put on her socks and shoes. It takes everything in me not to pee myself laughing when she does it - because you know, that would be bad.
