Happy Birthday Hannah!

Dear Hannah,
You are two years old today! I can't believe how fast these two years have gone by! You are quite a little girl! So full of energy...you rarely walk anymore...instead you love to run, run run. You are so beautiful, sweet girl. My heart just melts when you smile your adorable Hannah-smiles. Your vocabulary has exploded over the last 6 months. You rarely talk by using one word anymore. You are using almost all sentences! With your wonderfully clear verbal skills you tend to be a little bossy. Look out, Natalie! You love to tell me what to do. Like " get up, Mommy" or "come downstairs, Mommy...NOW!" You enjoy drawing (or scribbling) on anything with anything. Unfortunately this includes drawing on the couch with a pen (yikes!). I love that you will tell me what you are drawing...most often, it is a "circle" but sometimes it is a letter or "Mommy" or some other shape. You love to pick out your own clothes. Sometimes you have great taste and other times...well, you look like you are two and picked out your own clothes! You can be very stubborn...or shall we say, tenacious?!? Your sense of humor is wonderful. I love those moments in our day when you or I say or do something that you find funny and you just look at me for a moment and then crack up laughing! I can't help but laugh along with you. You are very shy around people you don't know. You don't talk or play much if you are out of your "comfort zone". But you will talk, sing and play like crazy with people you know and love. You love to help Mommy clean! Mopping, dusting, vaccuuming....you do it all! Sometimes when you see a crumb on the kitchen floor you say to me "Dustbuster!" Ha! Have I really taught you this?!? hmmm. You love to pretend by playing with your new kitchen or your baby doll. Elephants still grab your attention in books, etc. Even though you sometimes tell me you don't want "Ellie" (your favorite stuffed elephant) when going to bed I always find her tucked under your arm at night. You love "choo-choo trains" and "Thomas". You often ask to watch a "choo-choo movie" but never sit through more than 2 minutes of any movie before you want to get up and play. For that I am thankful (kind of!). You have had a little bit of a rough time adjusting to Natalie's presence in our house and sometimes can be rough with her...but the next moment you are sweet and want to lay your cheek on her head and give her a kiss. You are a fantastic helper! You will bring me wipes when I change Natalie and put the pacifier back in her mouth when she is crying. You also LOVE to pick out an "outfit" for "baby Natalie". Did I mention that you love clothes?!? changing outfits or shopping...you are such a girl! This past year has been so full of growth and adventure. I absolutely LOVE being your Mommy and can't wait to see how you will grow and change over the coming year.
