Apple Tree Christmas

Auntie Beth--this is for you!

Last Christmas, Hannah received this special book (signed  for her by the author/illustrator) from Auntie Beth & Uncle Dick. She LOVES it.  I have to say I love this book, too. It is a wonderful story. Recently we have been reading it a bunch. So when Paul had to chop down a dead tree in our back yard the other week for brush collection...Hannah was quick to discover a new place to play and pretend. She saw the newly sawed-off stump and literally RAN for a stash of paper and pencil yelling "I'm gonna be Katrina and play Apple Tree Christmas!"  I love that my girls are using their imaginations....
You can't tell from the angle of this picture but she is sitting in the "fork" of the tree...
