Sharing a Room!

Last week we moved Natalie into Hannah's room.So far the transition has been much easier than I expected. They have not been sleeping as much at night...they talk and play at bedtime--staying up later than usual. And Hannah has been waking Natalie up each morning earlier than usual. But these girls love each other SO MUCH. I overheard Hannah talking to Natalie one morning before they came out of their room. Oh! the sweetness! Hannah said joyfully, "Mommy and Daddy love each other and they share a room. And WE love each other and so we share a room...AND your room is gonna be a guest room!" Hannah's right. We are looking forward to reclaiming our third bedroom back as a guest room/office (?). We haven't purchased a new bed for the girls yet. I think we will get a twin bed with trundle because I'm not brave enough to do bunk beds yet. Natalie is fearless and I don't want to worry when I shut the door at bedtime. But for the time being Natalie is sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor--right next to Hannah's toddler bed. The first night we found them like this.....
It's hard to tell in this picture but Natalie is mostly on Hannah's bed...only her little leg is touching her own bed. They were so sweet sleeping together in that little toddler bed.

Natalie has done a remarkable job of staying in her "big girl bed" (aka - mattress on the floor)...but last night she came out into the hall once or twice. After I threatened a consequence, she didn't come walking down the hall anymore. Twenty minutes later I found her like this in the hallway outside her bedroom door. SOUND ASLEEP.
