Minnesota Weekend

All 4 cousins together!

We got to spend almost 4 glorious days in Minneapolis, MN at the beginning of the month! Paul's cousin, Johnathan, was getting married and it was a great excuse to travel north to see precious family and enjoy some cooler weather. Paul's sister, Julie, and her family JUST bought a house in the area and we got to be their first house guests! They have a beautiful new home with the BEST backyard and basement playroom ever! Hannah had so much fun playing with her cousin, Ashton, who is one year older. She learned a lot about "boy play." Mostly they pretended to get the "bad guys." Suddenly, Hannah saw sticks as guns and her younger cousin, Weston, as the "bad guy" to be captured. This is a far-cry from her typical princess- fairy- ballerina dress-up play. But she had a blast! All four kids spent a ton of time out in the backyard....spacious, green and with an awesome swingset and treehouse....they had lots of fun! We got to take an adventure to Crystal Lake. Natalie was the only one who went swimming for real...and that was an accident. Hannah, Ashton, Weston, Aunt Julie and Mommy only waded in the lake. It was wonderful to spend time with Paul's parents as well!
