You are 18 months old today! The past 6 months have zoomed right by...I have a feeling it is only getting faster! You are such a sweetheart....you are goofy and serious at the same time. I LOVE the way you bop around in your car seat to any kind of music. You love to MOVE to music. It does this music-lovin' momma's heart GOOD! Your dance moves are hilarious! If I wasn't so pathetic with technology I would figure out how to upload some video on here.
(See that bruise between her eyes?! - She spent the better part of this month with a bruise there....when it went away...she got another!)
You are finally stretching out....at your 18 month check up you weighed in at just over 26 lbs. And, I'm not positive, but I think you weighed 26 lbs at 12 months too! You are still more than 4 lbs heavier than Hannah was at 18 months but I predict you will pass her up in size over the next year. What can I say, sweet girl?! You take after your Mommy ;) I was always taller (and bigger) than my older brother. You have gone through a stint of only saying "Momma" "Da-Da" and "Uh-oh" for the last 2-3 months. I feel like just in the last three weeks you are finally beginning to try more, different sounds. It almost felt like we were moving backwards or standing still in the language department. I can't wait to find out what is going on in that little mind of yours! You are still pretty attached to your pacifier. I'm not feeling as brave as I was with your sister....we took her paci away at this age. We are trying to only resort to it at nap time and night but sometimes those wails get the better of me and I give in. You and Hannah can play so well together! And then other times you seem to fight, fight, fight! She can boss you around like nobody's business. You know how to hit your sister if you are mad at her...I wonder where you learned to do that?! You usually only resort to this if she grabs a toy out of your hand. You have learned to "cry wolf"...over-dramatizing what Hannah is doing to you. I'm trying to let you two learn to work out some things on your own. This doesn't always work out so well! You LOVE to read books but you definitely have an opinion on which ones! Maggie's Ball has been one of your absolute favorites this past month. (Thank you, Auntie Beth!) We read it 4-5 times a day. You are still my cuddler! I treasure those moments after you wake up when you just want to lay your head on my shoulder and snuggle! You do SUCH a good job going into the nursery at church or childcare at the gym. You almost always just walk in--ready to have fun! I'm so thankful! It is a joy to watch you grow into a beautiful little girl. We love you so VERY much!
