Blessed

I feel so incredibly blessed by the outpouring of love we have received from friends. It is a little scary to be so far away from family when you know you need to lean on someone....but our friends have stepped right in ....from so many directions and in so many ways. I can't even remember all of the ways we have been blessed with help during this pregnancy and during and since Natalie's birth. A number of close friends came to visit us at the hospital...it made us feel loved to have them celebrate with us! Many friends have taken care of Hannah while I went to Drs. appointments. One special friend came over almost every week (for weeks on end) to take care of and play with Hannah so I would have uninterrupted time to clean for small group. Friends have given us meals....or just come over to play with Hannah so I could have a break. Other friends have given my parents rides to and from the airport and taken Hannah on adventures. Another friend had Hannah for 4 straight days while we were in the hospital!!! And even now....friends are offering almost daily to bring food or come play with Hannah or take her away for a playdate. I feel almost overwhelmed...in a good way. I know it is a sacrifice of people's time and money to do these things for us...and yet...they seem to do it with joyful, giving hearts. I usually have a hard time asking for help. But I am humbled by memories of what a hard time we had with Hannah and am determined to accept more help this time around. We definitely can't do it alone. Thank you, sweet, sweet friends for the blessing that you are to our family.
