We drove from St. Louis, MO to Harrisburg, PA in one very long day. It is SO good to be with my family. Here are a gazillion pictures of some of the fun we had together.....
My family!!! |
Cousins all in a row.
Ages 7, 6, 5, 4, (3 months), 2 and 1. |
what an impossible goal it is to get one of EVERYONE lookng and happy |
Aunt Laura helped the girls to prank other members of the family with gross-tasting jelly belly beans.
Here they are plotting... |
It was SO wonderful to meet sweet Sarah Joy for the first time. She is so tiny and sweet at 3 months. |
This cutie-pie, Liam, worked hard to keep up with his older cousins. |
A lot of pool noodle battles took place in the backyard between dads, kids, cousins, uncles. |
We spent a good part of the week camping together at Caledonia State Park.
Here is a glimpse of what our dinner time looked like each night - campfire! |
Have you ever seen such well-dressed campers before? ;-) |
Grandma Esther and Sarah Joy |
Pa and Aaron |
Sarah thought camping was exhausting! |
Gram gave all the kids kazoos! They were a HIT! and so, so loud... |
Do you think she regretted it? ;-)
Nah! Her grandkids where making music! |
Pop had the grandkids help him choose a treasure for our geo-caching adventure. |
Auntie Beth came to spend the night and day with us while we were camping.
Here she is with Deccan, Sarah and Summer. |
Gram brought pretty nail decals for Summer, Hannah and Natalie.
Who doesn't want pretty nails when you're camping?! |
The girls put on a show for us on Justin and Coral's 10th anniversary. Summer designed and sewed her own costume! Aunt Laura made Hannah and Natalie's costumes! All with scraps from Gram's stash of cloth remnants and ribbons in the basement. |
The show: Summer (the queen), Hannah and Natalie (the princesses) were fighting Deccan (the evil magician) who was trying to take over their kindgdom. Notice Natalie's face.... |
A tall, handsome prince came to rescue princess Natalie after the evil magician hurt her. |
We continued celebrating Justin and Coral's 10th with angel food cake and flowers. |
We went geo-caching, too! |
While we were geo-caching...Liam made a dirty diaper. We were hiking on the mountain and (of course!) no one had a back up diaper. So! Brad to the rescue! He sacrificed his Tshirt so his son could wear something on his rear end.
Ha! It was the funniest diaper you ever saw! |
We found the cache! (Summer is holding it) |
Oh, how she loves pretty things in nature :-D |
sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters... |
Hannah reading to Liam at the campsite. |
Pop recruited the kids to help carry water to the campsite by using extra marshmallows at campfire as incentive. |
more cousins :-) |
When we got home from camping, Justin and his crew and Daddy had to leave for home. We got a little extra time with Laura, Brad and Liam before they left....
The girls with Liam |
a sweet treat with Aunt Laura after shopping :-) |
And then after Laura and her crew left we got to spend a tiny bit of extra time with Gram and Pop!
The girls played the game "Sneaky Snake" with Gram. |
The girls helped Pop in his garden.
We took our annual trip to Hershey's Chocolate World - to ride the ride and eat chocolate, of course! |
Thank you, Gram and Pop for a wonderful, wonderful week and a half of memories!
We love you! |
