China, yaks, beavers dams and Skippy Jon Jones

We have been BUSY having fun as we learn the last couple of weeks!
Here are some pics of some things we've done.

Hannah built "The Great Wall of China" out of marshmallows.
Another view :-)
It took almost 6 bags of marshmallows....
The girls made Chinese lanterns also!

And  we made fried rice and the girls tried eating it with chopsticks.
Hannah ate with them for a good 20 minutes.
Hannah has also been learning about all the animals that God created. This week one of the animals she learned about was beavers and we had a fun project to complete and then consume.  A beaver dam made of peanut butter, pretzel sticks and chocolate chips! mmmm! oh! and the peanut (in shell) that you spy is supposed to be the beaver. ;-)
This entry from Hannah's journal made me giggle.
It is a yak proposing. The yak said "yes!"
We also enjoyed a show at the Magik Theater -Skippy Jon Jones.
Skippy is a silly, imaginative Siamese cat who has large ears and thinks he's a really chihuahua .
Here are Skippy Jon Jones' sisters with the girls.
And the bulldog from the Skippy J J show....grrrrrr.....
