Soggy camping = forever memories

Next we headed up to Virginia to go camping with everyone! oh boy! If only we had known how very WET and muddy we would be...of course, I didn't have my camera out for the many hours it poured each day.  We actually all decided to head home a day early--if we hadn't had such marvelous company it would've been miserable.

Liam seemed to enjoy being outside.
Paul, Justin and my Dad took the 4 oldest cousins on an overnight backpacking trip.
They hiked on the Appalachian Trail for about 1 mile before setting up camp.
So they didn't go far but they weathered some wicked thunderstorms out on the mountain ridge overnight.
We got to celebrate Smokey Bear's birthday at the camp ground.
This picture may seem out of place. Because of the enormous amounts of rain while we camped...sleeping bags and lots of our clothes got drenched  or muddy and so we had to make time to do some laundry at the laundromat.
But the cousins had fun anyway :-)

My favorite Aaron face!
Aaron loved Liam as much as the big kids did.
