Girl from "back then"

My sweet Hannah-girl in her long white old-fashioned nightgown. 

My grandmother gave Hannah some birthday money way back in January and this is how she decided to spend it.  I honestly thought she would grow tired of wearing the nightgown. But I was wrong. For the first month after Hannah got it in the mail she would wear it most of the day...always pretending to be "a girl from back then" --at least that what she always tells me.  We've been reading all kinds of chapter books this year. I'm guessing that's where the idea for this nightgown came. We've read lots of the American Girl books and about 5 of the Little House on the Prairie books together.  These days she isn't using it to dress up as much but it is still her favorite thing to sleep in.  Natalie can be found wearing the nightgown also but always with her pink ballet slippers. She turns on music, dances and tells me that she is "Clara" in The Nutcracker.  Oh! How I love this age!  And I'm loving their incredible imaginations....
