New Zealand

Paul and I celebrated 10 years of marriage in December.  And we were incredibly blessed to go on an AMAZING trip to the beautiful country of New Zealand. This was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of trip.  Truly amazing.  Although we'd dreamed of doing this trip for years, as the time drew closer, we didn't think it would become a reality because of the cost and coordinating childcare.  But we were unexpectedly blessed with a financial gift and amazing parents who were each willing to spend an entire week caring for and loving on our girls.  We got a new camera in anticipation of the amazing scenery we knew that we would find in New Zealand.  And we ended up with about 2,000 pictures.  It was hard to stop snapping pics. :-)

Auckland, NZ Airport....finally here after over 30 hours of travel!
Air New Zealand....coming into the tiny Queenstown airport was gorgeous!
Lamb could be found EVERYWHERE.

Our adventures began in Queenstown, New Zealand on the South Island.  We spent our first day climbing a mountain, riding a luge at the top of the mountain, riding a gondola down the mountain, exploring the town on foot, eating yummy food by the lake...and just soaking in the amazing mountain and lake views.
View of Queenstown from the mountaintop.

The water was really this BLUE.

Riding the chair lift to our luge ride!
The bottom of the "luge course".  It was a blast!

On a viewing deck overlooking Queenstown

We hiked UP the mountain but opted to ride the gondola DOWN ;-)
Paul enjoying his first lamb burger!
