Two whole days after our trip to the East Coast, the girls and I hopped into our minivan and headed to East Texas. We went to visit one of my college roommates who just moved from NY to TX! She finished up her PhD recently and was hired at East Texas Baptist University as a professor in the Music Department. I'm so proud of her! Dr. Bugos! I'm also very excited to have a dear friend move "so close" to me. It proved to be a rather long drive to Marshall, TX...but TOTALLY worth it...since I hadn't seen her in 2.5 years! I, too, was a Northern girl who transplanted in Texas. I assured her that the horribly hot weather and cockroaches that she has encountered thus far are most definitely the WORST things about Texas...there are many, many great things about TX...my favorite being many of the people who live here. I hope she will find the same!
One of Hannah's favorite things about visiting Kristen was her DOGS!
Hannah got to brush Copper a little bit.
(Emily is behind Hannah)

Natalie was terrified of Copper for the first 2 days.
She warmed up to him by the end of our time there.
He was so cute! So excited to play with the girls!
I got to help Kristen decorate her new office on campus.
She got beautiful tree decals that we put on her walls...
A glimpse at the finished product...
Can you tell the girls had fun in her office while we were busy decorating?!?
We had a great time and look forward to coming back.
