Piano lessons!

Two weeks ago I started teaching Hannah piano! I'm pretty pumped about it and so is she (at least right now!) We are going to take it slow. We have had two lessons so far. I am finding that she has to be in just the right mood to be willing to listen and take correction from me. I want her to enjoy the lessons...they are most definitely just for fun. I think she was a little disappointed that she did not learn to play "Jingle Bells" by the end of the first lesson....but that will come....someday...maybe by Christmas :) She amazes me with how quickly she picks things up... Is she musical? I don't know. But smart? Yes, very.

Hannah totally amazed me when she wrote her name on the first page of her piano book. She already knew how to write an H, A & N. She has also known how to spell her name out loud for months....but she has never just written it from left to right like that on a line! It kind of amazed me. She is VERY interested in writing letters right now. She is even "spelling" a few words like "POP" and "DAD". The letters that she writes well without any prompting right now are A, B, C , D, E, H, N, O, P, T, V, X.

Isn't it so fun to watch them learn??!! Addison is very into writing right now too. I love seeing her excitement when she spells a word. Way to go Hannah! Her name looks awesome!
