We spent the ENTIRE day driving up north to Oklahoma....the best part of the day was stopping at Cracker Barrel for a late lunch. We met up with one of Paul's best friends, Dan. It was great to catch up with him! And of course, Cracker Barrel food is far, far better than what we might have found at a gas station...
When we left San Antonio at about 9:30 am I would guess that it was about 70 degrees and humid. About 2 hours later and 120 miles north we got out of the car and discovered that it was about 45 degrees windy, dry and cold. The temps continued to drop as we traveled north! I LOVE cool temps in November and December. Makes me feel like the holidays are here for real!
My girls, born in south Texas, were thinking that the weather was UNCOMFORTABLY cold.
I, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling....I was wearing a coat and boots and I was chilly! Happy Thanksgiving to me!

In over 16 hours of driving over 2 days (round trip) a simultaneous nap only occurred once for about 30 minutes. I HAD to capture proof on my camera.
We were VERY thankful to reach our destination!
