We took Hannah to see the Nutcracker just before Christmas. She LOVED every second of it. She had her own seat but chose to sit in my lap the whole time for two reasons.....1. Her seat kept folding up and smushing her...poor little thing wasn't heavy enough to hold it down. 2. She loved whispering questions in my ear every other second. Questions about what the ballet dancers were wearing and about things that were happening in the story.
She loved the Nutcracker so much that she threw a tantrum when it was over....didn't want to leave the auditorium....threw herself down on the sidewalk outside in protest over leaving...and then sobbed most of the way home (see pic below)....perhaps it was because the dancing was truly wonderful and magical....or perhaps because she never got a nap....

That is absolutely one of my FAVORITE Christmas activities. What a wonderful memory that you've created for her! (Despite the meltdown. LOL)
I enjoyed reading this post. What a nice memory. I like going to these kinds of events and seeing all the cute little girls in their pretty dresses. How funny that Hannah isn't big enough to hold a seat down. :)
