Happy Birthday, Natalie!
You are one year old today, Natalie! This past year has definitely flown by! You are such a sweet, sweet baby girl...but not a baby much longer. You switched over to walking instead of crawling a few days before Thanksgiving. Instead of transitioning slowly...it seemed like you woke up one day said "Today I will start walking!" and you did! You have become a much pickier eater and I'm am struggling to find things you will eat these days. If you don't like a food you make it very clear by spitting it out and then throwing the remainder off your highchair tray. You hate bibs still...makes for interesting laundry. You are almost weaned. Only nursing 1st thing in the morning and at bedtime right now. And those feedings are very brief...more of a a ritual. I plan to wean you completely in the next week or so. You are making it hard on me though! You will snuggle in my lap and then sign "milk"....looking at me with those huge, beautiful blue eyes. I most definitely don't want to deny you.....but Daddy and I have plans to escape for our anniversary later this month and so I must! You still only have 2 teeth on the bottom right now but 2 on the top are going to pop through any day. You love, love to be outside, sweet girl. These days when we go downstairs you will point to the front door to show me that you would like to go out. Or if the door is open for any reason...you make a beeline for it. When I let you go ...you walk across the front yard and then down the sidewalk. Not looking back for a second. I've got to keep my eye on you! You have begun to demonstrate more and more how much you love your Daddy. When Daddy comes home from work you really look forward to cuddles but even more to being thrown around in the air with your big sister. Hannah and you adore one another. You love acting silly to get her to giggle at you. You also like to dance....it is so funny to see you twist at the waist with your arms spread wide or bop your head back and forth when you hear music at home or in a store. You woke up very, very early this morning with a high fever :-( We went to the Dr. and she said you have an ear infection. (Strangely, Hannah also got an ear infection on her 1st birthday). We still got to celebrate though! As long as you were on fever-reducing meds you were in pretty good spirits. The Trombley family came over to celebrate with us. It was fun to have our friends over...there were lots of girls around to sing to you and watch you enjoy your cake! All the "big" girls (Chloe, Hannah & Hannah) "helped" you open your presents.

We had a practice run with a larger cake and all the girls showed her how.

Happy birthday sweet Natalie! Our little man turns one tomorrow!
We gave that same little doll to Sadie when she turned one, and it's still her favorite doll!
We love you, Natalie!! I can't wait to watch you grow and learn your personality!
I cracked up at the last pic of the Hannahs and then little Natalie peeking in on the side! Ha!! I am so glad our girls get along! And it's kind of fun that they we'll soon have a newborn, 1 yr old, 2 yr old, 3 yr old, and 4 yr old! Hopefully, no one will ever get left out!
