Despite lots of sickness coming our way in the last several weeks....the last two weekends have been very fun!
Two weekends ago Paul's parents were able to come to San Antonio for a quick visit. We had a blast at the farmer's market and going to La Fogata for dinner and a karaoke bar (w/o the kiddos) to celebrate a good friend's birthday. (I did karaoke for the first time ever!) Paul and I got to go on a date Saturday night too! And then Hannah got really, really sick later that night....sooooo the second half of their visit was a little less adventuresome....unless you consider doing laundry and cleaning up vomit an adventure. (Sometimes I try to tell myself it is!) We were so, so blessed to see Mom and Dad Hvass! We always enjoy spending time with them but were especially blessed by the way they were willing to work even during their "weekend away" by baby sitting for us and then helping us clean up the aftermath of Hannah's illness. Thank you for your servant's hearts...
Natalie did a good job showing off her ability to walk that weekend and Paul's mom caught a little bit on video!
The following weekend after Paul recovered from some sickness himself we were able to go with our Sunday School class to Pine Cove Crier Creek for a retreat. The weather was gorgeous! It was fun to spend time outside with friends and just "get away" from our house and normal routine. Hannah loved the cabin we stayed in and got to sleep in a bunk bed for the first time! She also got to go on a rope swing and paddle boat and enjoy a campfire for a little while. Here is a pic from the porch swing outside our cabin door...
