9 Months!

Natalie, you are SO LOVABLE! I can't believe that you are already 9 months old!
Here are some things you are up to these days...
  • No teeth at all! I love those gummy grins!
  • You don't care about nursing very much during the day....maybe 3 times?
  • Unfortunately at least twice a night you think that you want/need a meal.
  • I TRIED to do some "sleep training" the other weekend and let you cry in the middle of the night but after 1.5 hours of crying I gave in and fed you......and continue to do so....I think you are stubborn!
  • You don't care much for milk during the day but LOVE your sippy cup with water
  • You also have begun to eat lots of finger foods including pieces of peach, banana, sweet potato, peas, carrots, rice, whole wheat pasta, saltines, Cheerios, ground beef, chicken (and YES you eat all of these things without teeth! ha!)
  • On the subject of feeding, you HATE to wear a bib! I canNOT keep one on you....you always yank it off and toss it to the floor. grrrr! This makes for lots of laundry.
  • You cruise on all sorts of furniture and will "walk" behind walking toys or walk around the kitchen pushing Hannah's little stool. I predict you may take some steps alone by the end of the month!
  • You haven't really figured the stairs out yet....thank goodness! only once did I spot you up on the 2nd step and you fell down before I could reach you and I haven't caught you doing it since!
  • You continue to be content unless you are very hungry or very tired...but you don't smile super easily.....most people think you are pretty serious....(...I think you are precious!)
  • If I am in the same room as you, no one can hold you but me...
  • You are so, so curious! It is fun to watch you discover the world around you. You have begun pulling up at the piano and pushing the keys! Will I have a little pianist? Can't wait to find out, sweet Natalie June! We love you SO MUCH!
Although she doesn't look happy...mealtimes are her favorite!
Experimenting at the piano...
This is the view I see most often these days! You are always exploring!
Update: At your 9 month check up today you were 28.25 inches (50th percentile) and 21.63 lbs (95th percentile). I hate to say it, Natalie, you may never have the figure of a supermodel...but that is perfectly fine with me :-) and you are BEAUTIFUL!
