***DAD: Warning! This post has "potty talk"....read at your own risk***
"Chewy" is the name of Hannah's new doll. And, yes, she chose the name. I'm not sure where it came from--the name, that is. Paul took her doll shopping after she successfully pooped in the potty for a couple of days in a row. She was doing great on this front but after a little sickness and my sister's visit she needed some more encouragement or shall we say a bigger incentive to do her business on the toilet. Sweets of all sorts had been offered but had become pretty commonplace around here the past couple of weeks so we told her she could go "doll shopping" with Daddy if she had 3 successful days in a row. Chewy is the doll she picked. When she walked in the door after buying it she said "Momma, I got a new dolly. She has long PURPLE hair! And a PURPLE striped shirt!" I guess her favorite color that day was purple....
In other potty training news, yesterday I learned the hard way that it is not always good to send a 2 year old to "go potty" alone. I was cooking dinner and told her that I was pretty sure she could do it all by herself. Several moments later she came out into the living room with the ENTIRE roll of toilet paper bunched up in her hand telling me how she was going to wipe herself. Ha! That reminded me about an incident a week ago, the toilet was strangely clogged--by a two-year old! I am pretty sure Hannah put the whole roll in the toilet and then tried to flush--just like I taught her! So I'm thinking this potty training business could get kinda expensive......maybe diapers weren't so bad after all....

Yay Hannah for potty training and I totally feel your pain w/ the toilet paper. We have a "two square for pee" rule, and a little more for the other. ;o) (like 3-4) M. is really good at this, and has been the entire time, S. has a bit of a harder time, but at least she tries.
We always have plumbing issues in this house, so we couldn't afford to have them flushing too much.
Good luck! ;o)
Haha! That is SO funny about her coming out to show you how she planned to clean herself up. And this post totally reminded me of thinking the very same thing about all the money that we were saving on diapers now being funneled to a tp account.
If it's any comfort, we're now at the other extreme, where Elena prefers not to wipe at all.... umm gross?
So exciting! We started Addison this week and it is going sooooo well. It may be a while before we master the pooping though. We have also told her she could go pick out a toy if she goes - whatever works, right??!! I have enjoyed thinking about the money we are saving too - makes me want to start Aubrey even sooner!
