"Gigi!"

Ya know, I'm not really sure when to count certain words as a part of Hannah's vocabulary. To be honest she seems to go in phases.....she has said "Momma, Da-da, no, yeah-yeah, kitty, shoe, etc...." But some of these things I've only heard a few times and only Momma & Da-da have been repeated on command....so do the other words count?  AND what if she doesn't say them anymore?  For instance, she never says "Momma" anymore :-(.  She used to say it everytime I asked!

When she is hanging with Gigi, Hannah always has a huge smile on her face.

Anyway....on Monday evening our small group was over at our house.  My sweet friend, Gigi, was playing with Hannah. I think they were playing peek-a-boo across the coffee table when Hannah said very plainly..."Gigi" (with a big grin on her face).  I was sitting nearby talking to Alisha and Julie and all three of us heard it too.  We all just started clapping and yelling and then tried to get her to say it again. Hannah wouldn't repeat it...but since there were 4 adult witnesses who heard it...I'm pretty sure we heard her correctly.  Anyway...it was so fun to hear her say someone's name!  Definitely a first!  Hannah has probably spent more time with Gigi than anyone else (with the exception of Paul and I)....with small group every week, long walks together, and occasional baby-sitting.  Gigi, I'm so blessed to have you as my friend and know that Hannah loves you too!  I'm SO GLAD you live close by!
